Royal Parma made a perfect start as the European Cricket Series Rome got underway under moody skies in the Italian capital on Monday.
Rajmani Singh was the star of an eventful opening day in Italy, racking up a majestic century in the very first game of the tournament. With 12 sixes in his 36-ball knock, Rajmani hit every third ball for a maximum as Royal Parma romped past Kingsgrove Milan, reaching his century in the final over of the innings.
In a more polished all-round performance, Rajmani Singh came to the party against Royal Roma with two wickets and 60 off 25 balls as Royal Parma went top of the standings with a comfortable win.
Royal Roma recovered to beat Padova comfortably after Hassan Mubashar had bashed an unbeaten 56 from 18 balls.
Padova also bounced back immediately following a defeat with Damith Kosala crashing 57 off 30 balls against a depleted Kingsgrove Milan in the final action on Monday.
